Now and then, my husband and I enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood, and at times we can find something very interesting. I remember one day we encountered a coral snake. It’s the first one I have ever seen, well alive, that is. As pretty as it is deadly, we admired it from a safe distance and let it be.
Recently on a walk, I took a closer look at a pine tree. I noticed the male cones were plentiful and thinking Spring is just around the corner!!
I also saw something that I have never seen before. It was a new developing pine cone, a female pine cone. I was in awe of how intricate and magnificent this pine cone was.
I love the colors and the shape of the scales. Is amazing how nature can create so much beauty in something that is so simple.
There is a lot I would love to learn and share with all of you, but for now, please enjoy the photo gallery below and in hopes that you too will take the time to look upon a pine tree with new eyes and fascination.
