Not very often do I see turtles sunning on a log in the swamps at Chassahowitzka WMA. It’s just one of those things, being in the right place at the right time.
This mud turtle looks pretty old and grumpy! It was good to have seen this one. As far as the conservation status of this species it is not listed as threatened or endangered.
