Rainbow Scarab (Dung Bettle)

Every living creature has its place on this planet!

Another member of the Dung Beetle family is the Rainbow Scarab. With the previous post and video showing a dung beetle rolling the scat by using its hind legs, this dung beetle uses its front legs.

Observing for a bit, I noticed that the beetle would stop and walk around as if it was making sure it was on the right path back to her burrow and she would turn/rotate the scat if not. She’s has some work cut out for her trying to put this prize catch in her burrow! This is very interesting indeed… it’s amazing how smart and determined insects are!

You got this Rainbow… don’t give up!
